About Canfield

Canfield is a very quaint community with a beautiful “Village Green” area in the center of this New England-style town. The community holds concerts on the green year-round, from classical concerts to Christmas carolers during the holiday season.  A First Night is celebrated on New Year’s Eve in Canfield, with many events suitable for people of all ages.

Canfield is famous for being the home of the Mahoning County Canfield Fair, which is the largest county fair in Ohio, and may even be the largest in this part of the country! Canfield is also home to the Mill Creek Park Metro Educational Farm, located across from the Canfield Fairgrounds. This facility has its doors open to educate people on farming and livestock practices. There is also a ten-mile bike trail running through Canfield, which is part of the Mill Creek Metro Park’s system.

The real estate market in Canfield is booming due to the excellent schools and the growing oil and shale gas industries. Homes generally start at over $100,000 and go up into the multi-millions. There are two golf courses in Canfield, adding to the value of the area: one public course, Kennsington Golf Course, and one private golf and country club, Tippecanoe Country Club.
